Pastor Joseph R. Joyce Sr. was born and raised in Chicago,
IL. He was the oldest of four children. He graduated from High School in
1989. He continued his education at Lewis University
in Joliet, IL and John
Wood Community College in Jacksonville, IL. He majored in Business Management and
Computer Programming. After going to school, Pastor Joyce married his childhood sweetheart; Sherita (Keys) Joyce and they
had three beautiful children, Joseph Jr, Jeremy, and Joshua.
Pastor
Joyce accepted Christ as his savior at the age of 20, while going through troubled times in his life. After he received the
baptism of the Holy Ghost, God started dealing with him about preaching the gospel. In 1990 he spoke with his Pastor, (Harold
P. Jameau) of St. Mark COGIC and was licensed to preach in 1992 where he preached his trial sermon. He was ordained
under Bishop C.V. Marshall of Chicago, IL.
Pastor Joyce continued his education at Mason Roberts Bible Institute in Chicago,
IL studying Bible Doctrine of the church, Leadership Skills and Ministerial training
under Bishop Robert Sanders.
Pastor Joyce served under his Pastor (Harold P. Jameau) faithfully for 15 years until called to the Pastoral Ministry in 2005.
He served in the Choir, Men's Department and Prison Ministry. He also served as a Bible Class Teacher, Director of Christian
education, Trustee Board Member and Armor Bearer to the Pastor.
Pastor
Joyce has served in the District Number eight for the last seven years in various capacities, five years as the District Sunday
School Supt. and also one of the assistances working with the State Sunday School Supt Dr. Curtis Rodgers. Pastor Joyce serves
in the District Number Eight as the YPWW President under State President EM Walker. Pastor Joyce also serves under
Bishop C.V. Marshall on the Northern IL financial committee. Pastor Joyce is a sought after Evangelist, conference
speaker and seminar facilitator, he has preached over this country and is used in a mighty deliverance ministry.
